In 1967, Smithers-Oasis diversified its foam technology and entered the orthopedic field to make foot impressions. In 1980, we refined our formulation, creating a new foam which was easily compressible and engineered for accurate podiatric modeling; and in 1984, BIO-FOAM® Impression Foam was born.
BIO-FOAM® Impression Foam now comprises a strategic business division of Smithers-Oasis, delivering customized solutions to meet the critical needs of the medical industry.
Our business divisions and operating units all have the same goal – to provide solutions-based products and services – and our network of facilities around the world enables Smithers-Oasis to provide these at the local level, yet with a global perspective.
